Drug trafficker arrested in Germany: he managed heroin and cocaine in Terni

A Moroccan citizen tracked down and arrested in Germany will have to serve a 17 and a half year prison sentence for drug trafficking. The provision was issued by the general prosecutor’s office of Perugia. The crimes committed span a period of time from 2012 to 2019, all linked to drug dealing, in particular in the territories of Terni and Casal di Principe, in the Caserta area. The network was managed by the man’s entire family, resident in the Ternano area, who obtained supplies in the nearby town of Papigno and, using young people with no criminal record, re-injected the doses, mostly of heroin, into the provinces of Terni and Rieti. During the arrest operations of the various members of the gang, the staff of the Mobile team of Rieti, in collaboration with those of Perugia, Viterbo and Vicenza, seized over 650 grams of heroin, approximately 200 grams of cocaine and seven thousand euros in cash, deemed to be proceeds from drug dealing activities. The investigations revealed that the criminal association supplied between 80 and 100 drug addicts in the areas involved. At the time the operation was called “One way trip”. The North African citizen was captured following a European arrest warrant in the city of Remscheid by the Wuppertal neighborhood police, in collaboration with Sirene Germany and the Service for International Police Cooperation of Rome. The arrested person is currently awaiting extradition to Italy.
