To prevent risks related to cholesterol and to promote correct styles of life and food, Anteas Cesena and the “Special Affections” project of the Asp of the Cesena Valle Savio district promote the free measurement day of cholesterol. It will be held on Saturday May 18th at it Community social help desk (former Enel cabin), in via Gramsci 275, in the Hippodrome area of Cesena, from 8.30 to 11.30.
“High levels of bad cholesterol in the body – they say from Anteas in promoting the event – represent a danger for the health of the arteries. The measurement of total cholesterol is intended to contribute to the evaluation of cardiovascular risk. Excess cholesterol, through the arteries, contributes to the formation of fatty accumulations in the vessels, causing them to harden and narrow. Such an irreversible process, called atherosclerosiscan lead over time to the formation of plaques that obstruct or occlude the blood flow, generating risks for the cardiovascular system (stroke, myocardial infarction, arterial insufficiency of the lower limbs)”.
“Our Anteas volunteers, including professional nurses – explains the president of Anteas Cesena Franco Cedioli – will be available to anyone who shows up for free measurement of total cholesterol. A service that we think, above all, for elderly people and which we will carry out in the space dedicated to the Anteas social help desk located in Cesena in the Ippodromo area”.
