TREIA – The third edition of the Dolores Prato Literary Award. The Accademia Georgica was also present to illustrate the volume entitled “Investigations with neutronic and radiological techniques on finds from the archaeological collection of the Accademia Georgica of Treia: past and present of research”.
Dolores Prato and Treia at the Turin Book Fair. Lucrezia Sarnaricurator of the “Dolores Prato Città di Treia” literary prize, presented the third edition of the competition reserved exclusively for female writers, born from an idea of the municipal administration and the journalist. There are 40 novels competing this year, confirming how the literary prize has established itself on the national scene as a reference for female authors. The project was born, in fact, precisely with the desire to enhance the female writing and creates a network between book professionals, publishers and readers which is gaining more and more consensus and which will reveal the five finalist novels in June.
The Accademia Georgica was also present for the volume entitled “Investigations with neutron and radiological techniques on finds from the archaeological collection of the Georgica Academy of Treia: past and present of research”.
The publication concerns a research and experimental work already started in 2011 by the Academy, in collaboration with partner Massimo Rogante of the Rogante Engineering Studio of Civitanova Marche, member of the scientific committee of the Neutronic Center of Budapest. The first part of the project involved an investigation carried out on part of the metal finds. The second, which took place partly in 2023, like the first, was organized in two moments of scientific investigation: the investigation at the Neutronic Center of Budapest and the analysis at the Polytechnic University of Marche, which has of complementary investigation instruments.
“Past and present of research” The publication illustrates, edited by Ivano Palmucci, the story of the rebirth of the Accademia dei Sollevati in Società Georgica di Treia. It contains the inventory sheets of the entire archaeological collection and a very precious update by Professor Emanuela Stortoni on the history, the context of formation and the description of the materials.
The recent analysis works were conducted by Engineer Massimo Rogante in collaboration with Professor László Rosta and by the Polytechnic University of Marche. The work on the ceramic statuettes was carried out by Fabrizio Fiori, Paolo Mengucci, Adriano di Cristoforo and Simona Sabbatini.
