CIVITAVECCHIA – “We learn that yesterday morning two North African inmates of the NC CC Civitavecchia savagely beat two of their fellow prisoners, one of whom had to seek medical treatment at the Civitavecchia hospital for the traumas he suffered.
The worst was avoided for the two North Africans only thanks to the timely intervention of the prison police.
During the intervention of the penitentiary police, the same North Africans caused injuries to an inspector and an assistant who had to seek medical treatment at the city emergency room with a few days of prognosis.
We learn that, last Monday, some inmates caused considerable damage to public property which affected a district section.
The situation is increasingly dramatic, there is a risk of collapse of the penitentiary system, overcrowding and the very serious shortage of staff, characterized by the dramatic nature of the events, are seriously compromising the order and security of this location.
