In recent days, the military of the Padua Provincial Command have intensified controls in the Padua station area, in order to guarantee compliance with legality in a strategic place in the city which sees the daily transit of thousands of visitors and commuters.
The operations, conducted synergistically by the Padua Group and the Local Police – Judicial Police Department, made it possible to arrest a person in the act of committing the crime of supplying narcotic substances.
The buyer, subjected to checks, was found in possession of 3 g of hashish and, therefore, administratively reported to the Prefecture of Padua.
The police operations immediately continued with the arrest of the pusher, who he hid in the inside pocket of jacket no. 5 wraps containing cocaine, for a total of 1.2 g, and inside the right hand n. 4 doses of hashish, for a total weight of 11.4 g.
The subject, taken to the offices of the Department for the preparation of documents and there subjected to a personal search, was also found to be in possession of 220 euros in cash and a set of keys attributable to his place of residence.
The subsequent house searches allowed the seizure of a further 1.1 kg of hashish, packaged in n. 3 bricks, other banknotes worth 100 euros and several mobile phones.
The proceeding is in the preliminary investigation phase and the arrested person must be considered not guilty until a possible irrevocable sentence is reached.
The intervention conducted by the Financiers of Padua and the Local Police falls within the range of ordinary territorial control activities and testifies to the continuous commitment of the Corps to safeguard legality.
