Corecom (Regional Communications Committee) has sprung into action. The news was announced by deputy mayor Riccardo Corridore on Thursday morning during the question time session at Palazzo Spada, in response to two questions illustrated by Dem councilor Francesco Filipponi.
Terni administration brochure The question from Pd and Innovare per Terni asked «to know whether the distribution of the mentioned brochure respects the level playing field period, or whether it concerns activities strictly necessary and linked to the functioning of the institution, to know the costs of implementation and of diffusion, to know whether the municipal administration has borne these costs and whether they have been borne by third parties”. The city’s deputy mayor responded: «There was a complaint on the matter from Corecom, in relation to which the offices carried out an investigation, in relation to which there was no follow-up after Corecom – he said -. We believe that everything that has been done is compliant with the statute, with the objectives of the Dup, and respectful of existing rules, as specified in the counterarguments sent to Corecon. We are waiting for Corecom’s measures, if any, and we will communicate them to the city.” Chapter costs for brochures: «4,209 VAT included – added the deputy mayor -. The administration anticipated the expense in order to be able to release the product in time and therefore in advance of the cause in relation to which the complaint was made. The mayor took charge of the costs, in advance of the spending commitment. We simply proceeded with the anticipation to arrive at the donation from the mayor. There is a note written signed by the mayor prior to the determination of commitment by the municipality, the mayor had undertaken to have them released at his expense. There is a written document from the mayor, the distribution of those brochures will take place at zero cost for the municipality.”

In response, the Dem representative said: “Here too the Corecom should have taken action” and the deputy mayor, off the microphone, confirmed the existence of a Corecom proceeding in this regard.
