Guests of the Waldensian Church of Trapani will be Alessandra de Pasquale (Violin) and Patrizia Paoli (piano) for a concert event as part of the celebrations for the 850th anniversary of the Waldensian movement on May 18th at 6.00 pm, at the Waldensian Church of via Orlandini in Trapani.
Alessandra De Pasquale studied at the Santa Cecilia conservatory in Rome. She graduated under the guidance of maestro A. Marchetti and collaborated with the “Nuova Amadeus” orchestra and with the Rome Symphonic Institution. Having moved to Trieste in 1995, she played with the Chamber Orchestra of Friuli Venezia Giulia and with the “Opera Giocosa”, furthermore for twelve years she was a member of the orchestra “I Cameristi Triestini”, with which she performed several tours all over the world (Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa). Since 2007 in La Spezia where he has performed concert activities in chamber ensembles: duo, trio and, since 2015, he has been part of the “Stili Diversi” quartet, with which he has performed concerts in various Italian cities: Rome, Florence, Turin, Genoa, La Spezia, Lucca. You are currently a violin teacher at secondary school.
Patrizia Paoli graduated from the Licinio Refice conservatory in Frosinone under the guidance of maestro Tomasi. In La Spezia you have organized and coordinated for several years a project of theatrical, musical and dance activities, aimed at primary and secondary schools throughout the province, with the aim of spreading knowledge of music through the involvement of young people. She performed in a piano duo with Angela Pacetti, Cesare Goretta and Leonardo Vaccarone, in concert activities which saw her engaged in various Italian cities, in Venice, Rome, Livorno, La Spezia, Florence, and abroad, in Cologne near the Italian Cultural Institute of the Rhineland and in Toulon, for the Consulate General of Marseille.
For the person responsible for cultural activities and initiatives of the Waldensian Church of Trapani and Marsala, Georgia E. Betz, “the activity of a Protestant Church in the European context is never separated from the search for the good of the city: research which is at the same time cultural and spiritual and music, as a harmonious language, represents the perfect synthesis of this aspiration”.
In Northern Europe, Betz continues, the Protestant Churches represent millions of citizens, in some cases the majority in the Scandinavian countries. Being Church means being part of society, with concrete responsibilities and commitment.
The initiative is carried out in partnership with the APS Utopia Laboratory, it will be public and entry will be free.
