Bad weather in the last few hours it has begun to create problems in the province of Turin. Yesterday the firefighters had to intervene due to a small landslide in Strada Maddalena, in Moncalieri, a slice of fragile territory which often suffers problems in the event of persistent rain. The landslide resulted in the partial closure of the street for safety reasons.

Other interventions were made to secure unsafe trees and not just on the hills. In fact, the firefighters also had to work in this direction on the provincial road 188 which goes from Avigliana to the Sacra di San Michelebefore the village of Mortera and in Vauda, on provincial road 21.

In the Canavese area, however, a concrete retaining wall already at risk for days collapsed at the intersection of the Provincial 73 for Andrate and the one for Bienca in Borgofranco. Traffic was immediately blocked, thanks to the report of the mayor Fausto Francisca, with an ordinance from the metropolitan city on Monday 6 May. AND Two families had been evacuated for safety who live on board the provincial road. The police and firefighters were involved in the inspection. «Just yesterday afternoon the report for the demolition and reconstruction of the roadbed (another project solution) to remove the danger and guarantee safety was signed. The rains accelerated everything”, says the mayor.

The forecast for today also gives persistent rain across the entire Turin area.
