LIVORNO – Livorno perspective organizes for this afternoon, May 16th at 7.30 pm, a meeting dedicated to work theme. The initiative will take place at the headquarters in via Buontalenti 83.
“Work – say the organizers – is increasingly precarious and workers have lost much of their bargaining power. In Livorno the situation is even more serious having suffered the closure and relocation of many activities. This is why we want to listen to various public and private entities in the area by listening directly to the workers. We are those who safeguard the Common Goods and work is one of those not only to be safeguarded, unfortunately, but to be totally re-founded”.
“It is necessary to immediately create an environmentally sustainable industrial fabric and a shared path with the few entrepreneurs and companies remaining in the area which provides for a path of sustainable reconversion of current activities with the aim of also creating new jobs. Our perspective is to create and finance an incubator of ideas and projects to be implemented in the area and to encourage and support paths that bring healthy entrepreneurship back to Livorno with the aim of combining the necessary environmental protection with the equally necessary jobs. Workers will participate in the meeting to plan together a participatory process in this sense. An aperitif will follow.”
