Dino Gennari, a well-known record producer, was found dead one day in June with his head inside the oven in his villa located in Costa Beata. Charged with solving the mysterious death of the producer of the Italian Record Company, is chief inspector Vittorio Corti, protagonist of Francesco Cossu’s other detective novels.
The investigations are directed at the musical group Onda Rotta, of which Gennari had produced the first three albums, while the fourth entitled like the novel Sognare Costa Caro was never published for unclear reasons. Furthermore, the manager was also the lover of Susanna Leoni, girlfriend of the group’s guitarist Leonardo Sambagio.
After numerous interrogations of the band members – Enea Costa, Livio Decandia, Leonardo Sambagio, Daniel Doro and Chicco Rasenti – his ex-wife Viviana Lai and his brother Niccolò Gennari, possible links emerge with criminal associations aimed at fraud and money laundering as well as a relationship conflictual with neighbors Nuccio Inzaina and Clementina Desini.
Will the skilled Vittorio Corti be able to find the culprit of Gennari’s murder? Another pleasant and compelling novel by Francesco Cossu who offers us the fifth chapter of Chief Inspector Vittorio Corti, a stubborn and unconventional investigator who is exciting fans of the best crime books.
