Acquedotto Pugliese is carrying out interventions to improve the service in Bari. The works concern, in particular, the repair of a water leak in the network and the installation of hydraulic components foreseen in the contract for the rehabilitation of the city networks.
To allow the interventions to be carried out, explains Aqp, it will be necessary to temporarily suspend the normal water supply on 22 May 2024. Various streets are affected, in some more central districts of the city, such as Libertà and Murattiano. Below are the streets indicated by Aqp: Via Pietro Ravanas, Via Trevisani, Via Nicolò Pizzoli, Via Manzoni, Via Giambattista Bonazzi, Via Sagariga Visconti, Via Giosuè Carducci, Via Gaetano Latilla, Via Quintino Sella, Via De Rossi, Via Marchese di Montrone , Via Benedetto Cairoli, Via Roberto da Bari, Via Andrea da Bari, Via Sparano, Via Argiro, Via Melo da Bari, Corso Cavour, Corso Italia, Via Nicola Bavaro, Via Mario Rossani, Via Eritrea, Via Fornari, Via Beata Elisa di San Clemente, Via Giuseppe Suppa, Piazza Aldo Moro, Piazza Umberto I, Via Nicolò dell’Arca, Via Crisanzio, Via Michele Garruba, Via Domenico Nicolai, Via Dante Alighieri, Via Principe Amedeo Via Nicolò Putignani, Via Calefati, Via Abate Gimma, Via Crispi, Via Nicolò Piccini, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Via Napoli, Via Pasquale Villari, Via San Francesco D’Assisi, Via Alfredo Oriani, Via Maffeo Pantaleoni, Via Gioacchino Murat.
The suspension will last 14 hours, starting from 08:00 with reinstatement at 22:00. “Inconveniences – AQP explains in a note – will be felt exclusively in buildings without an autoclave and water reserve or with insufficient storage capacity”. Acquedotto Pugliese recommends residents of the affected area “to rationalize consumption, avoiding non-priority uses of water in the hours affected by the water interruption. Consumption, in fact, constitutes a fundamental variable to avoid any inconvenience”.
