Two women harassed by their partners who, instead of looking after and protecting them, mistreated them.
They cross each other in the space of just one weekend on the Carabinieri emergency telephone line the stories of these two women, a 37 year old Italian from Val D’Agri and a 39 year old Romanian citizen resident in Bradano Valley.
In the first case it was the victim who asked for help on NUE 112, in the second a relative who he had heard the somewhat “strange” woman on the phone and, in the background, a male voice shouting.
Quick the intervention of the Carabinieri of the Viggiano and Acerenza Companies who, when they arrived on site, could only do so noting the marks left on the bodies and souls of the two women and then entrusting them to the care of the 118 health workers who ascertained their state of health by verifying the injuries they had suffered.
As too often happens, the initial reticence of the victims, perhaps due to modesty, broke up before the Carabinieri investigators who were thus able to reconstruct the ordeals experienced by the two women triggering the measures envisaged by the protocol “Code Red” arresting the two men, after the formalities.
The Italian citizen he was associated with the prison in Potenza and the Romanian citizen under house arrest, available to the Potenza Judicial Authority.
Both the validation hearings, held before the GIP of the Court of Potenza, they ratified the arrests carried out by the Carabinieri, placing both under the precautionary measure of house arrestwith the clarification that, in relation to the two suspects, the presumption of innocence applies until a final conviction is reached.
