The discussion centers on three powerful cameras that were suddenly installed and strategically positioned at the intersections with via Fiume Albenga and via Campagnola.

The post, published in the “Sgnalazioni Foligno” group, sparked a wave of concern and questions among residents of the neighborhood. Some citizens wonder whether these cameras are part of the well-known ZTL system or whether they are instead aimed at general video surveillance for presumed security reasons. However, the answers provided so far appear to be vague and unconvincing.
Among the comments that accompanied the post, a note of skepticism and distrust towards local institutions emerges. A citizen reports that an integrated video surveillance system was announced as early as October 2023, but the installation of cameras in this area does not appear to be part of this project. Irony and bitterness emerge from some comments, such as that of a resident of via Fiume Albenga, who jokes about the fact that his street already enjoys privileged treatment, with regular waste collection and new asphalt, adding sarcastically that now even the cameras will come to “protect” them.

The citizens of Foligno demand and deserve clear and transparent answers on why and how decisions are made that influence their daily lives.
