Pisa, injured with a stab wound after the argument over an accident, 40-year-old arrested

Wounded in the abdomen with a knife after an argument over a car accident in Pisa, the alleged attacker, a forty-year-old, was arrested by the police for attempted murder. The injured man, a 36-year-old Italian, was taken to hospital and underwent surgery: the operation, explains the Pisan police headquarters, made it possible to stabilize his condition. It all happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The police cars first and the flying squad then intervened in via Montanelli because the presence of a man wounded in the abdomen with a stab wound had been reported, who was then urgently transported by ambulance to Cisanello hospital. From what has been reconstructed the 36-year-old, while passing by in his car, together with a friend, had had a collision with a cyclist. There would then have been a violent argument in the street where the cousin would then have intervened to help the cyclist, “in a manner currently under investigation”.

The latter suddenly struck the motorist with a switchblade who, the police always explains, “only thanks to quick reflexes, was able to prevent the blade from entering deep into the tissues, lacerating the internal organs”. The police later identified the alleged attacker’s home nearby where they actually found him together with his cousin. The two, “still covered in blood, after initial hesitations, confessed to the serious crime perpetrated, indicating where the knife had been hidden”. The 40-year-old was then arrested.
