The Carabinieri of the Ronco station arrested a 56-year-old man in execution of an order for the application of the precautionary measure of custody in prison for persecutory acts and damage. It all started following damage suffered by the victim which triggered the military’s activity which culminated in the identification of the perpetrator who, for some time, had been persecuting the woman by serially reiterating behavior of threats and harassment, detrimental to mental and physical freedom .
The reasons for the man’s fury were probably traced back to the victim’s refusal to accept the aforementioned man’s desire to start a romantic relationship, a desire originally expressed with WhatsApp messages with sometimes abusive and intimidating content, then in visits to the workplace and finally in increasingly frequent stalking, in places usually frequented by the woman.
The man, responsible for the serious and persistent state of anxiety suffered by the woman who was the object of his desire, was made to face his responsibilities thanks to the courage of the victim, who found the strength to report the various persecutory acts she had suffered for almost a year . In this regard, the provincial Carabinieri command in Corso Mazzini invites «women, victims of violence, not to hesitate to contact the Carabinieri commands located in the province, where they will find specialized personnel who will be able to help them escape from the spiral of violence in which can be found in spite of themselves, thus preventing situations from degenerating into irreversible episodes”.
