Brescia. There are those who say “no”, but there are also those who call for a 24-hour closure of vehicles in the historic center of Brescia.
This is the request, signed by a thousand residents, sent to the Municipality to «reduce vehicular traffic in the city and encourage the use of public transport and cycling».
Promoting the subscription «Brescia al Passo coi Tempi» (in synergy with Legambiente, Fridays for Future, Fiab and Acli) which brings to the attention of Palazzo Loggia four salient issues to reduce air pollution in the heart of Leonessa.
Which? ZTL throughout the historic center 24 hours a day, seven days a week, paid parking reserved for residents only, access to the Piazza Vittoria car park only with a subscription, dedicated exclusively to residents and those who have a business in the historic center, a parking level that becomes a safe deposit for those who use bicycles and, finally, discounted rates for parking in the structure for residents in the center.
Another hope is that the Castelletti Council will take into consideration the hypothesis of a new type of pricing for public transport, which provides for collective tickets and evening travel passes valid on the entire urban network.
