Synoptic analysis
The high altitude vortex positioned off the Bay of Biscay continues to convey humid southern currents responsible for the marked bad weather in recent hours onto our region. From Friday and over the weekend, the gradual shift and weakening of the vortex towards the east will lead to a substantial improvement in the weather, especially on the plains, but with the possibility of showers or short thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening hours.

Estimated time: very cloudy or overcast skies with predominantly showers, moderate to heavy at times, more widespread and persistent in the Alpine and Pre-Alpine mountains. From the afternoon, formation of storm cells also accompanied by hail extending from the south-western sectors to the rest of the region. It improves in the evening with partial clearing starting from the west.
Temperatures: stationary minimums between 13°C and 15°C, stationary or slightly increasing maximums between 17°C and 20°C.
Winds: weak to moderate eastern in the plains; southern moderates on the reliefs.

Estimated time: cloudy to very cloudy sky conditions, possible clearing during the day in the lowland areas; residual precipitation during the night, including thunderstorms, in the north-eastern sectors of the region, waning by the morning and intensifying again between late afternoon and evening, especially in the Alpine and Pre-Alpine mountains, but not excluding overflows also in the high plain sectors.
Temperatures: lows stationary, highs rising.
Winds: weak western on the plains, moderate western on the hills.

Estimated time: generally cloudy sky in the morning but with a tendency to even large openings especially in the plains during the day. Showers or brief thunderstorms are still possible during the late afternoon on the Alpine and Pre-Alpine mountains but with local encroachments also on the adjacent plain sectors.
Temperatures: minimums and maximums increasing, more marked in the maximum values.
Winds: weak variables, weak south-western on the reliefs.
