the 3D printer in Trani in Bovio Rocca Palumbo

The “Digital design for rapid prototyping with the 3D printer” course has just ended, a cultural itinerary dedicated to lower secondary school teachers, aimed at stimulating curiosity and research in favor of the use of new technologies in the educational field . Once again our school and its teaching staff have seized an opportunity, that of training for an innovative teaching approach, in step with the rapid changes in technology, society and the world of work.
Attended with enthusiasm and synergy, the series of lessons transmitted the basic know-how necessary for project management and 3D composition, for the use of an FDM printer and for the post-production of the manufactured parts. From the eidotype to the precision survey, from the use of the 3D pen to the conversion of the raster drawing into vector, passing through the CAD modeling, up to the preparation of a gcode with relative printing, the participants were able to approach and experiment with the language of digital manufacturing , with the aim of capturing and subsequently transmitting the computational logics and processes to their students.
The parametric design in free or codified execution, the virtual simulation of the slicer software and 3D printing, offer the possibility both of converting needs into ideas and tangible artefacts, and of establishing a universal, participatory, multidisciplinary language, whose syntax today’s young people will be called, tomorrow, to consciously possess the knowledge, to apply themselves for a profitable update and to fruitfully implement the relevant principles, methodologies and procedures.
This is a language which also made possible the keen involvement of the German teachers from the “Justin – Wagner” school in Rossdorf, present in Trani through the Erasmus project, all in the name of openness, hospitality and exchange and cultural sharing.
