CASTELFRANCO VENETO – A new breath for the historic heart of Castelfranco Veneto materializes with the urban regeneration project shared between the Morello Foundation, Castel Monte Onlus and the 593 Architecture Studio. The ancient building between Piazza Giorgione and via Romaninafirst home of Cecatprepares for a new life as “Space 31“, a meeting point for seniors and associations. The transformation of this symbolic place is not just a change of name, but a reappropriation of the urban fabric that actively involves the local community. Mirco Casteller, president of the Morello Foundationtogether with Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto, kicked off a dialogue that led to the creation of an inclusive and stimulating environment. The May 17th will mark the official inauguration of “Spazio 31”, which aims to become a point of reference for the elderly during the day and a vital center for events and associative activities. The project is led by the Cooperativa Castel Monte Onlus, engaged not only in home care for self-sufficient elderly people but also in the creation of socialization spaces.
The approach to urban regeneration adopted by the 593 Architecture Studio, led by Michele Sbrissa, places the needs of the community at the center, with particular attention to the elderly. The first phases of the project saw the restoration of the existing structures and the cleaning of the spaces, while now the actual work phase begins, which will include the creation of a shared urban garden. “Spazio 31” will not just be a physical place, but a catalyst for activities and initiatives aimed at promoting the physical and mental well-being of the community. Local associations such as i Filippin from Paderno del Grappa joined the project, highlighting the importance of this initiative for the entire territory. The active participation of citizens and local associations is fundamental to the success of “Spazio 31”. Thanks to the support of sponsors and volunteers, the area will be transformed into a lively and welcoming environment, where ideas and projects can be shared every day. The future of “Spazio 31” is bright, with constant commitment from all partners involved in the project.
