Medical assistance at the Festa dei Ceri in Gubbio, 40 interventions
During the celebration of Gubbio Ceri Festival, the Umbria 1 Local Health Authority has implemented a complete plan to guarantee medical assistance to participants. Through the setting up of three advanced medical points in key points of the city and the presence of a team of rescuers on foot in Piazza Grande, the aim was to respond promptly to any health emergency.
The bulletin of health interventions carried out during the first half of the day of the festival provides a detailed account of the situations faced. TAmong the reported cases, several emergencies have been recorded, including episodes of epileptic seizure, syncope, fainting, panic attacks, polytrauma, minor trauma, treated wounds, hypertension, epistaxis and hypotension. Overall, 40 health interventions were performed, of which 5 patients were subsequently hospitalized at the Gubbio – Gualdo Tadino hospital.
The presence of four ambulances located at strategic points of the city, such as via dei Consoli, via Savelli, Largo Mastro Giorgio and Piazza San Francesco, facilitated the transport of patients requiring hospital care. Furthermore, the organization of three advanced medical points near Palazzo dei Consoli, Palazzo Comunale and Palazzo Pretorio allowed the immediate intervention of medical personnel in case of need.
