PESARO It’s from Tuesday to Rossini shipyard one of the largest yachts (55 metres) ever to enter the port of Pesaro. The owner is foreign, the floating palace flies the flag of the Marshall Islands in Oceania, and you thought well of stopping in one of the Adriatic’s excellences which guarantees the highest quality in every refit phase.

Refitting a boat is in fact an important service that not only deals with combating age and wear, but also lends itself to improving performance or increasing comfort. «This boat comes from Dubrovnik – says the director Alfonso Postorino – and will stay with us for about ten days to improve some systems, waiting to resume the cruise towards Venice, together with its owner. You also chose our shipyard for the beauty of its quay, but above all for the excellence of our service, as well as the presence of adequate space.” The arrival of the yacht aroused inevitable curiosity also because the entry maneuvers were preceded by meticulous interventions including checking the seabed, given the size of the mega yacht. And many did not fail to photograph it.

From all over the Mediterranean

Boats from all over the Mediterranean arrive at the Rossini Shipyard: «From Spain, Turkey, Cyprus: and from Cyprus – continues Postorino, we have another yacht in recent days. They are boats that move a lot and tend to choose quality places.” The shipyard opened in 2018 to be completed at the end of 2020 with the futuristic structure of the warehouses that distinguishes it. Given the very corrosive marine environment, the shipyard offers painting services, interior renovation, including kitchens, and audio-video systems: «All with the use of local workers and specialized companies who are already used to working with construction sites of Fano and Ancona. There is then a close collaboration with Fano for the last phase of setup and delivery.” What is certain is that before the Rossini shipyard, such large boats were not seen in Pesaro: «It is a shame that boats of this kind cannot stay longer or come in greater numbers due to a limitation of moorings, not only in Pesaro but in all the Marche», continues Postorino.

Quay dedicated to yachts in transit

«Pesaro is the only port that has a dock dedicated to yachts in transit. Losing the possibility of hosting these boats means losing economic benefits. Next week I will participate in a conference in Ancona entitled “The port of the future” with the hope of finding the right synergies to increase these spaces not only in Pesaro, but throughout the Marche region. It would be enough to make the best use of what we have, equip them with a minimum of equipment, such as electricity supply, and space to ensure that these boats come to the Adriatic more often. The French Riviera, Genoa, Livorno and Viareggio are full of them.” The important thing “is to keep the dredging of the river under control: even this last boat is at its limit to carry out the manoeuvres”. And for those who are curious to visit the Rossini shipyard up close, there is an opportunity: on the occasion of the international World Boating Day, the gates will be open on Saturday 25 May from 9am to 1pm with guided tours of the shipyard organized by specialized staff .
