The wait was very long, but 1092 days later Juventus finally returned to raise a trophy to the sky. Just like on May 19, 2021, on May 15, 2024, an Italian cup will enter the Juventus club’s showcase, again against Atalanta. And Allegri decides to rely on two boys who grew up in the Next Gen, Nicolussi Caviglia and Iling-Junior, to replace the disqualified Locatelli and the lackluster Kostic. Juve’s approach deserves applause, with Cambiaso finding a hole in the Atalanta defense after four minutes: Djimsiti forgets about the line and Hien loses Vlahovic, the Serbian is very cold in front of Carnesecchi and the Bianconeri can already celebrate. The team thus raises the barricades, but no shots arrive from Perin’s area because they were all blocked by Danilo and Bremer Gatti. The defensive phase is solid, the counterattacks work but the second goal doesn’t arrive.
