“I’m still here”: the presentation of the new novel by Sara Ciafardoni in Molfetta on Thursday

It is the story of a teenager full of dreams who finds herself having to deal with events that overturn her imagination of the future. It’s called “I’m still here” and it is the latest novel by Sara Ciafardoni which will be presented on Thursday, May 16, at 10.30 am, at the Network Contacts headquarters in via Olivetti 17 in Molfetta. The writer is an 18-year-old girl from Cerignola who has two great passions: books and writing. Sara is confined to a wheelchair because she suffers from a rare disease, a congenital spinal malformation, but with her eyes and her smile she knows the world very well. Her stories have the value of a bridge, they represent a special relationship with everything that revolves around her. With “I’m still here” you deal with the story of Milena, a 19-year-old girl ready to fulfill her dream of leaving for Rome with her best friend. However, she will soon have to deal with oppressive pain and pressure, thanks to the recent loss of her mother and wrong friendships that lead her to experience a profound personal crisis in which she struggles to study, eat and even look at herself in the mirror. Heartbroken but determined to save her, her father takes her back to Puglia, to her grandmother Ripalta’s house. In an emotional and compelling journey Milena will face her inner demons and discover an essential truth: every person brings with them a love story. Will she be able to discover her?

During the presentation of the book, moderated by the director of La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, Mimmo Mazza, the writer will lead the audience on a journey through the emotions, fears and messages that are hidden not only between the lines of her novel, but in life of everyone.
