Reservations are already open for ‘Prevention in Action’, the initiative which provides free visits and tests for the pediatric and adult population, promoted by the Salesi Onlus Hospital Foundation together with the Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria delle Marche Onlus Foundation, in collaboration with the Company University Hospital of the Marche, the Polytechnic University of the Marche and the Marche Region, and with the support of the municipal administration of Ancona.
The appointment is for 18 and 19 May in Piazza Pertini, in Ancona, where the ‘Villaggio della Salute’ will be set up, a structure with over 25 clinics, where visits and tests will be guaranteed by the specialists of the AOU of the Marche.
The specialties covered by the initiative are: cardiological prevention, cerebro-vascular prevention, allergology, rehabilitation medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, osteoporosis and thyroid control, odontostomatology, plastic surgery, oncology, gastroenterology, nutritional status, otolaryngology, consultancy on mental disorders nutrition in developmental age, pediatric infectious diseases, breast medicine, pulmonology, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, pediatric clinic, adult and pediatric orthopaedics, pediatric surgery, clinical immunology, rare disease screening.
“It is an initiative that makes us proud – declares the President of the Salesi Onlus Hospital Foundation, Doctor Cinzia Cocco, Administrative Director of the AOU of the Marche – the objective is to raise awareness of the importance of prevention. I thank the medical specialists of the University Hospital of the Marche who with great generosity made themselves available for this initiative of great value for the health of the population: our professionals, in fact, will carry out visits and tests on a voluntary basis and outside the working hours, providing a very valuable contribution in terms of active prevention”.
President Cocco is also keen to underline the synergy between the two Hospital Foundations, and the network between institutions, “a great team effort for the benefit of the health of the pediatric and adult population”. Numerous specialties of the Mother and Child Department of the Marche AOU are involved in the prevention initiative.
