Manfredonia. “What I would like to propose is a new approach to municipal administration focused on active involvement of all citizens in the governance of the city, both as individuals and through representative associations. It’s about a participatory democracy which aims at collaboration and guarantees a transparent relationship between institutions and citizens such as to increase trust of the latter precisely in local institutions. But to start these innovative processes, we need to have specific regulations which are currently missing in Manfredonia. And in fact the approval of an ad hoc Municipal Regulation was included by our candidate for mayor, Ugo Galli, in the program to be implemented“.
This is what the young Manfredonian Pasquale D’Antuono, soldier serving in the Air Force, candidate for the municipal council for the administrative elections of 8-9 June 2024, tells StatoQuotidiano.it.
Pasquale obtained the Scientific High School Diploma from the G. Galilei Scientific High School in Manfredonia and for a few years he has recognized “a real passion for legal subjects, which is why I decided to continue my studies by enrolling in the Degree Course in Consultant of Labor at the Department of Law of the University of Foggia”.
“I also deal with trade union activity, as a representative of a local section, following the recent legislation which allowed the formation of trade unions also in the Armed Forces”.
“I have decided to run as a City Councilor in the next municipal elections in the Forza Manfredonia civic list, for Ugo Galli Mayor, because I want to make an active contribution to the resolution of the real problems that afflict our beloved city, above all to guarantee a rosy future for the new generations , therefore ensuring that young people from Siponto who are entering the world of work find themselves in the right socio-economic conditions so that they can decide to remain in our territory without being forced to move elsewhere. This is a topic that is close to my heart because having lived in Friuli Venezia Giulia for 5 years, I know what it means to move away from your family and loved ones with the aim of pursuing stable employment”.
