Viterbo – “From the Lazio region over 180 thousand euros for 21 municipalities in Tuscia”. This was made known by Giulio Zelli, regional councilor of Fratelli d’Italia.
“It deals with – explains the councilor – of an intervention aimed at encouraging residentiality and combating depopulation in municipalities with under two thousand inhabitants. The objective is to offer concrete support to families residing in these small towns, giving the municipalities the possibility of providing an economic contribution in a single solution. Through the ranking drawn up by the regional offices, local administrations will be able to identify recipients through specific public notices or ‘at the counter’, based on specific demographic situations, until available resources are exhausted“.
In total, there are twenty-one municipalities in the province of Viterbo that will benefit from this allocation for a total of 186 thousand 634 euros. “Tuscia is experiencing, like the rest of the country, a declining birth rate phase, particularly in small towns. Demographic and residential desertification – concludes Zelli – is a worrying phenomenon that risks making entire villages disappear, true custodians of our roots, our traditions and our culture. The Rocca administration has decided to intervene to put a stop to this alarming situation. As also demonstrated by the recent opening of the tender for the redevelopment of public buildings, the rebirth of small municipalities is a priority of our mandate”.
