Thursday in the first part, repeated showers and thunderstorms are likely on the north-eastern plain, in the afternoon a new more widespread unstable/disturbed phase with showers and thunderstorms, locally intense between the Pre-Alps and the plain“: this is what the Arpav experts report in relation to the expected weather situation Veneto in the next few hours. As regards the general evolution, in the usual bulletin we read: “A vast cyclonic area centered on the Bay of Biscay is conveying humid southern currents to the Veneto: the weather will be disturbed with extensive and frequent rainfall on Wednesday, unstable with more discontinuous phenomena on Thursday. On Friday, the influence of low pressure will be a little more marginal and will mainly affect the mountains and the northern plains; from Saturday the weather will be relatively more stable across the entire region“.
Disturbed weather today; very cloudy or overcast sky; extensive and persistent rainfall, even in the form of downpours or thunderstorms, with even substantial quantities, or locally abundant between the Pre-Alps and the plain; snow limit around 2300-2600 m. Daytime temperatures decreasing compared to Tuesday. Moderate/strong southern winds at altitude, moderate/strong eastern winds in the plains, with reinforcements of the sirocco along the coast; possible gusts during thunderstorms.
According to the weather bulletin from the Arpa Veneto experts, Tomorrow Still significant cloud cover is expected during the night and again starting from the central hours, alternating with probable clearings in the morning especially in the central-western areas.
Rainfall. Until mid-day, medium-low probability (25-50%) in the central-western areas to high (75-100%) in the north-eastern plain for local precipitation; in the afternoon high probability (75-100%) of widespread precipitation. The phenomena will also be of a reverse or thunderstorm nature. Snow limit at around 2500 m.
Temperatures. Minimum temperatures decreasing in the plains, without notable variations in the mountains; maximums recovering, except for stationarity or local decline on the north-eastern plain.
Winds. At altitude moderate, temporarily tense, from the southern sectors; in variable valleys. In the plains moderate, at times tense, from the north-east inland, mainly from the south-east along the coast.
Sea. Very choppy.
Friday 17 variable cloud cover more present in the mountains and in the afternoon on the northern sectors of the plain; presence of greater stretches of clear weather in the plains.
Rainfall. In the plains, mostly low probability (5-25%) of occasional drizzle, except in the afternoon in the foothill areas and on the north-eastern plain, medium-high probability (50-75%) of local precipitation, including showers or thunderstorms. In the mountains, medium-high probability (50-75%) of scattered precipitation, even with showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon, especially in the Pre-Alps; snow limit up to approximately 2100-2400 m.
Temperatures. Minimal without notable variations; maximums increasing in the plains, decreasing at altitude.
Winds. At altitude moderate from the south-west; in variable valleys. In the plains moderate to tense stretches, mainly south-western, temporarily southerly along the coast.
Sea. Moved.
Saturday 18 slightly or partially cloudy skies, except for more clouds starting from the central hours in the mountains, where there will also be the possibility of some precipitation. Minimum temperatures slightly decreasing, maximum temperatures recovering.
Finally, according to the weather forecasts of the experts at Harp, Sunday 19th in Veneto clear or slightly cloudy skies are expected, except for cumulus activity in the mountains in the central hours of the day. Temperatures mostly recovering.
