With managerial decisions n. 1623 and n. 1624 of 13/5/2024 was given start of the ordinary exhumation and ordinary exhumation procedures of the bodies at the Trapani cemetery. The list of bodies subjected to the procedure was published in the online Praetorian Noticeboard and in the Cemetery Noticeboard of the Municipality of Trapani and on the institutional website www.comune.trapani.it
The operations have been set to start from 17 June 2024 according to the established operations schedule. The relatives of the deceased, in addition to viewing the list attached to the provisions, can request information at the Cemetery Services offices, located in Piazza Cimitero n. 37 – tel. 0923- 590266 – 568500, which receive, by appointment, on the days and times indicated below: Monday and Thursday from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm and Wednesday from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.
The situation at the Mazara cemetery is different. With a tender/notice signed by the manager of the municipal technical sector Vincenzo Marcello Bua and the Head of Cemetery Services Claudio Zummo, the concession to the living of 40 dovecote cells for extraordinary reunion with their already buried relatives definitively in the same cemetery section.
Given the numerous requests made by elderly citizens and considering that exhumation works are being completed which will allow around 390 burial niches to be made available in addition to the construction of new burial niches, with union resolution no. 60/2024 and the announcement/notice gives citizens aged 70 or over the opportunity to request the concession of a burial plot adjacent to or close to the one in which a close relative is buried (husband, wife, child/ a, brother/sister, father/mother). The deadline for submitting the request is 12 June 2024 under penalty of exclusion. The application, accompanied by a 16 euro tax stamp, must be submitted by hand to the general protocol of the Municipality of via Carmine, using the appropriate form which is attached to the Notice.
