CGIL Basilicata in mourning.
In a note, his memory:
“Pasquale Paolino has left us. He was a great comrade, his moral uprightness indelibly marked all his trade union commitment and his daily actions.
Pasquale he was a companion and a friend.
We feel like orphans of this great man and great leader of the CGIL.
In recent years he has directed with competence important structures of our organization, most recently as general secretary of the SPI CGIL of Potenza.
A life spent, always in the foreground, alongside the workers.
We are left with a great void for his loss but we are left with his teaching made up of inexhaustible ability to listen and mediate, from the strength and indignation with which to react to injustices and from the tireless desire to always fight them because as he reminded us: “we are trade unionists!”.
The entire SPI, and the CGIL, the workers, the retired men and women, lose a fundamental point of reference. Pasquale will always be with us, in every fight, in every action.
Hello our dear comrade, the enormous void you leave is filled in our hearts, by the thousand battles experienced together: every battle for rights was and is yours, and will be our battle.
Your red flag will fly forever.”
