Happy Casa Brindisi drawn in group B

BRINDISI – The Under 17 Eccellenza team of Happy Casa Brindisi is preparing to face the national final phase, scheduled in Agropoli from 20 to 26 May where the best sixteen companies in Italy will compete. For the third time in the history of the New Basket Brindisi company, one of its category players enters a national phase. A group success confirming the regional title won last February in the Final Four in Mola di Bari and the first place obtained in the Puglia/Campania Interzonal phase.

The Under 17 Eccellenza team is the spokesperson for the entire Happy Casa Brindisi youth sector, being able to count on kids born and raised in the blue and white environment, following the youth path starting from mini basketball. The boys trained by coach Luca Laghezza, and assistants Alfredo De Rosa and Luigi Minghetti, were drawn in group B which includes Vis 2008 Ferrara, Pallacanestro Prato Dragons and SAP Alghero.

The first match between Happy Casa Brindisi and Vis 2008 Ferrara will take place on Monday 20 May at 6pm. On the following days, Tuesday and Wednesday, the other two matches of the group will be played (in the 6pm and 8pm time slots) alternating depending on the results achieved along the way. The formula includes four elimination groups of four teams each who will meet in a round-robin format with one-way matches. The first-placed teams in each group will be directly admitted to the quarter-finals, the second and third-placed teams in each group will be admitted to the play-offs to define the draw of the best eight teams. Semi-finals and finals to always be played in a single match.

All the matches of the Agropoli final will be broadcast live on the Italbasket Twitch channel or alternatively on the Italbasket YouTube channel. The matches will also be visible on demand on the web TV basketlike.it and in play by play on FIP Stats.
