From 23 to 26 May, the 39th Agriculture Festival returns to Mordano, after four years of absence between Covid and the flood, in the sports field in via Bacchilega. «Despite the difficulties we decided to try again with a smaller program than usual – says the patron of the event, Renato Folli -. We want to maintain this agricultural tradition, a moment of sharing for families and young people. The proceeds will be donated, as always, to schools, associations and sports clubs in the area.”
Festival which this year made a “good and supportive” choice by purchasing part of the pasta from the food stand from the Coop. social Workshops and crafts of Faenza. «In this edition we are focusing strongly on young people with a program suitable for them» adds Silvia Ercolani, general secretary of the Festival.
For the mayor Nicola Tassinari «the Festival “sells dearly” and is still at stake for the good of the community – he comments -. Finally now I will be able to experience one as mayor (smiles, ed.).”
The program
Thursday 23 May, at 6.30 pm, inauguration of the sports field. At 9.30pm music with “70 mi da 80 Live band”. On Friday 24 May, around 200 students at the sports field will try their hand at various disciplines for sports day. At 5pm games for the Mordano and Bubano elementary schools, while at 7pm musical show for the nursery school. At 9pm, Mordano middle school musical show directed by Professor Carpanelli. Following, at 9.30 pm, in the multipurpose room of the town hall, the economic conference “Agrometeo Project” – A step towards digitalisation in fruit and vegetables, with the managers of Conserve Italia Pierpaolo Rosetti (general director), Daniele Piva (agricultural production director) and Mattia Onofri (fruit agricultural office manager). At 10.30pm disco dance with DJ.
On Saturday 25 May, at 2.30 pm, “Mai dire bau” is scheduled, the 2nd amateur dog show with mixed breeds and purebred dogs organized by “Latinborder” at the sports field. Awards ceremony at 6pm. At 9.30pm show with the dancers of the group “Giorgio and the magical whips of Romagna”. At 11pm disco dance with DJ.
Sunday 26 May, at 8.30am, opening of the bar for breakfast. At 9 am the Tractor rally: departure of the tractors from Piazzale Agrentità, tour around Imola to the square in Via Pirandello and return. At 1pm tractor display in front of the sports field. Also from 9am, “Farmer’s farmyard” with horses, cows, donkeys, pigs, Romagna bulls, ancient crafts and the vintage market. At 10am Holy Mass at the Palatenda to commemorate the deceased members and collaborators of the Festival. At 10.30 am pony ride for the little ones. In the afternoon, at 5pm, entertainment for children and from 9pm music with Enrico Matulli. At 11pm disco dance with DJ.
Every evening, from 7pm, the food stand opens with the possibility of takeaway, on Sundays also from 12pm.
