Rovigo municipal elections, the interview with the centre-right candidate, Cittadin

End the season of divisions, which have torn the city apart and slowed down administrative action. Inaugurate a new course, focusing on listening, participation and a sense of community. This is the objective of the broad coalition that supports Valeria Cittadin, made up of Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, Forza Italia, Azione and Coraggio Italia.

“To the parties, which I thank for their support and contribution of ideas and experience, is added the civic list Valeria Cittadin Sindaco – explains the candidate, who aspires to the tricolor band -, made up of citizens of good will. Together, after years of personalism and useless battles, we want to bring serenity back to the institutions and truly transform the Municipality into everyone’s home. With respect for my opponents and for those with different ideas, I reiterate that I am running to be everyone’s mayor. My only party is Rovigo and my commitment will be to make it a more modern, rich and attractive city, first of all by mending the relationship between the center and the hamlets”.

“A first proposal – continues Cittadin – concerns the establishment of a mobile office of the Municipality which, once a week, will bring the branches to our eleven hamlets. In this way we will allow families and elderly people who need certificates or information to be able to receive them in the area where they live. Then there is an issue linked to parking, both in the center and near the train station: it is unacceptable that Rovigo, where hundreds of people move every day for work or study, does not have adequate spaces for parking cars near the railway station. Equally unbearable is seeing how many opportunities we have lost in recent years, both in terms of investments and development, and of services. It is no coincidence that today we are the only capital without a swimming pool or, even, which risks not having a home for its elderly. The fault lies with a policy that has remained on a pedestal for too long. To reverse this process, I make available to everyone the telephone number on which each citizen can contact me 335 6384531. Today for reports and proposals towards a candidate, tomorrow, if Rovigo chooses to start again strong and united, to speak directly with the new mayor ”.
