FRANCAVILLA. The first bans come into force this evening along the streets of Francavilla, which is preparing to welcome the arrival of stage number 11 of the Giro d’Italia tomorrow. An event that involves the city throughout the day and which required an extraordinary plan of changes to the city’s traffic system with 340 bans, in order to allow the streets to be left free for the passage of cyclists.
For the occasion, the municipality was divided into four areas: arrival, stage headquarters, open village and parking for buses and flagships.




I ARRIVE For the arrival, with the finish line in front of the sea stadium, via Tosti, viale D’Annunzio, via Bafile, via Dei Marrucini and via Dei Frentani are affected by the parking ban with removal from 7pm this evening to 11pm tomorrow. From 10pm today, the stretch of via Tosti from via Marino to the border with Ortona will see a ban on transit with barriers, the same treatment reserved tomorrow, from 5am to 10pm on the stretch of via Tosti between via Dei Piceni and via Marino, but also in via Dei Frentani, via Dei Marrucini and via Bafile. For the parking lot of the stage headquarters, in the stretch of via Monte Amaro between via Treste and piazza Sant’Alfonso, via Treste and via Monte Corno from via Treste to Largo Orio Vergani there is a parking ban with removal from 8pm today to 10pm of tomorrow.

PATH The route of the cyclists, who will enter from the Nazionale at the border with Ortona and then cross via Pola, viale Nettuno, viale D’Annunzio and via Tosti, will be affected by the parking ban from 10am tomorrow, while the transit ban will come into effect from around 2pm , i.e. approximately 2 and a half hours before the arrival of the stage, estimated at 4.50 pm. For road conditions, we recommend using the motorway on a day which will obviously not be easy. Alternatively, you can use the Nazionale, from Alento towards Pescara in a northerly direction and the Anas variant, from Valle Anzuca towards the Foro, to proceed in a southerly direction.
