Manfredonia. “Satisfaction and regret are two sensations that alternate when reading and rereading my end-of-term report as Mayor of Manfredonia, which received positive opinions from the Auditors and the Court of Auditors of Puglia. Working always and only for the interest and good of Manfredonia and my fellow citizens, we had begun to get a desperate and broke city and body back on its feet, in the midst of an economic-financial, social and moral crisis”.
“We did it with a few rudimentary tools at our disposal (predisposed speakers and a bare-bones technostructure), literally finding ourselves climbing a mountain with our bare hands in the middle of a storm. But, we were not scared and we did not lose heart, working hard every day on every front, sparing no effort to achieve useful results for the relaunch of the Municipality and the socio-economic fabric of Manfredonia”.
“?’???? ?? ?????????? ?? ?????????????? ??? ??? ??? ????? ????? ?????? ?????? ??????? ???????”. I believe that in this sentence contained in the “End of mandate report” (certified by the Auditors with Minutes no. 103 of 2 May 2024) with reference to a resolution of the Court of Auditors, regional control section for Puglia (relating to the capacity of management of the Budget and the Financial Rebalancing Plan), contains the essence and meaning of the experience of virtuous governance of the Administration led by me from December 2021 to October 2023.
For two years, with many sacrifices, we had laid solid foundations to imprint a decisive administrative acceleration in the following three years, the fruits of which would not be long in arriving, but some preferred to put personal interests and selfishness before the interests of all. Proud to have been at the service of my fellow citizens for two splendid years and equally proud to have been sent home with my head held high for not having given in to blackmail and compromises of any kind.
