“The young Napolitano”, debate in Caserta on the former president

The conference “The young Napolitano in Caserta” will be held on Thursday 16 May at 5pm, in the Council Room of the Municipality of Caserta, organized by the Municipality of Caserta, in collaboration with the “Mezzogiorno Europa” Foundation.

It will be an opportunity to reflect on the important contribution provided to the territory by the former President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, during the period spent in Caserta (1948-1953), where he was provincial secretary of the PCI Federation. An occasion not of mere celebration, but of an accurate, scientific analysis of a period of fundamental importance in the biography of this extraordinary figure, who lived a crucial phase of his political history precisely in Caserta.

The meeting, moderated by the journalist Marilù Musto, will be attended by the Full Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Molise, Gianni Cerchia, the mayor of Caserta, Carlo Marino, the mayor of Capua, Adolfo Villani, the President of the Foundation ” Southern Europe”, Umberto Ranieri, and some exponents of the world of politics, trade unions and associations who had personal relationships with the former President of the Republic.
