New weather alert in the Marche. The regional Civil Protection has issued a yellow criticality warning for thunderstorms, valid for tomorrow, Wednesday 15 May. The alert affects the entire Marche region, from the coast to the hinterland, from the north to the south of the Marche.
The first storms will arrive starting from tomorrow afternoon, when scattered showers are expected which could also be of strong intensity locally. «Scattered thunderstorms – he explains Francesco Iocca, meteorologist of the regional Civil Protection – will mainly affect the hilly areas within the region, while the coastal strip will be more protected. The storms will also remain late in the evening in the central-northern area of the Marche”.
Cumulative temperatures, continues the meteorologist, are expected between 40 and 50 millimetres. The weather will remain variable also on Thursday due to south-western flows which fuel instability. Showers will also be more likely in the afternoon on Thursday.
The weekend will see good weather on Friday and Saturday, while instability may return on Sunday. «Temperatures will not undergo significant changes – explains Iocca – the maximum values may drop by 1-2 degrees at most depending on the cloud cover, while the minimum values will remain in line with today’s ones».
