“We don’t go on patrols, we’re not sheriffs and we’re not random what’sapp groups”. Paola Dall’Asta, founder of the first group in Fornaci, is keen to remember that with “Brescia Sicura” Neighborhood Control arrived in Brescia in 2015, nine years ago.

WHAT IS NEIGHBORHOOD CHECK?
“They are small groups of neighbors – explains Paola Dall’Asta – people who know each other, trained and informed who put into practice all the advice that we national associations explain. We reserve great attention for elderly people and lonely people. And, therefore, a network of social cohesion is created whereby everyone helps each other, controls each other, monitors the territory in which they live to prevent scams and thefts from happening.”

“In Brescia and its province – continues Dall’Asta – there are 149 active groups of which 17 in Brescia but it is an underestimate because the requests for membership and activation of the groups are constantly growing”

WITH THE LODGE? “I’VE BEEN WAITING SINCE 2015 BUT WE SHOULD LEAVE NOW”
“I have been waiting with the Lodge since 2015, in the meantime many administrations have started collaboration with the Neighborhood Control Groups, but now it seems that we should start in Brescia too and I hope that the model is the project underway in Parma where it was an act of recognition was signed between the police forces and the municipality of Parma”.
