«Getting on stage for a good cause makes me return to the essence of my work as an artist». Someone like Raul Cremona, who has been “bursting” Italian screens for thirty years with his hilarious characters and knows how to involve theatergoers like few others, certainly won’t be shaking in his legs on Thursday at the Manzoni cinema theater in the Merate oratory. But a bit of emotion, of healthy emotion, is already proof, knowing that the proceeds of the evening will be allocated to the activities of the Fabio Sassi association, which this year celebrates its 35th year of foundation.

«We comedians are professionals and it is normal for us to get on and off a stage every evening, after all it is our job – says Cremona, who we interviewed by telephone during one of his car journeys in recent days – But the charity events they always have a particular flavour, they help us stop and reflect on what is really important in life and in this specific case I am happy to have had the opportunity to get to know the reality of Fabio Sassi”.
Laughing is good and does good, in short. «Without disrespecting the delicate and serious topic of palliative care that the association deals with, beyond my work I believe that in life knowing how to make fun of yourself a little and knowing how to smile even in difficulties can sometimes be a cure . In my own small way, I am happy to be able to perform in Merate and to be able to offer a few moments of joy to everyone, even perhaps to those who have approached the association due to difficult personal experiences.”
Any previews of the show? «I will certainly make Silvano the magician of Milan, the magician Oronzo cannot be missing, then I thought that I could use the Merate audience as a test for some characters that I haven’t brought on stage yet… let’s see how the public will react and if so I will evaluate whether to propose them elsewhere too.”

At the theater I like to indulge myself a little, I’m not one who respects the schedules too much, I like to get out among the people and “breathe” the atmosphere of the audience a little.
