Cannobio, Cannero Riviera, Gozzano, San Maurizio d’Opaglio and Verbania. These are the five Blue Flag municipalities in Piedmont in 2024, three in the Verbano area and two in the Novara area. All locations confirmed therefore, compared to 2023. Two new entries instead for Liguria, Borgio Verezzi and Reccowhich however loses two locations that have failed to maintain the required standards: Ameglia and Taggia.

On the podium Liguria always first which marks 2 new entries but loses two Flags, thus confirming 34 locations; there Puglia rises to 24 with 3 new Municipalities and an exit while they follow in a tie with 20 Flags Campania and the Calabria, with one additional award each. With a new entry, the Marche they receive 19 Blue Flags, while Tuscany loses a Municipality to 18. There Sardinia confirms its 15 locations, also theAbruzzo rises to 15 with a new entry, the Sicily reaches 14 Flags with three new entries, the Trentino Alto Adige rises to 12 with two more municipalities, the Lazio stays at 10. In Emilia Romagna 9 locations awarded and the 9 Flags reconfirmed Veneto. There Basilicata confirms its 5 locations, and there are always 5 Municipalities in Piedmont who get the Flags. There Lombardy confirms 3 Municipalities, the Friuli Venezia Giulia keeps its 2, like the Molise.

The other Ligurian municipalities where the blue flag will fly will be: Province of Imperia: Bordighera, Sanremo, Riva Ligure, Santo Stefano al Mare, San Lorenzo al Mare, Imperia, Diano Marina. Province of Savona: Laigueglia, Ceriale, Borghetto Santo Spirito, Loano, Pietra Ligure, Finale Ligure, Noli, Spotorno, Bergeggi, Savona, Albissola Marina, Albisola Superiore, Celle Ligure, Varazze.

Province of Genoa: Sori, Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure, Chiavari, Lavagna, Sestri Levante, Moneglia. Province of La Spezia: Framura, Bonassola, Levanto, Lerici
