The Pentecost Vigil in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption
Savona. On Saturday 18 May at 9pm in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, Monsignor Calogero Marino will preside over the Pentecost Vigil. Mass will not be celebrated, but rather it will be a moment of prayer which will take up some of the readings of the Eucharist on the vigil of Pentecost, with the addition of a page on the theme of peace, also to draw attention to the “Arena of Peace” of Verona, in which Pope Francis will participate.
At the end, the mandate will be given to the new heads of the pastoral areas (Don Alessio Allori for Proclamation and Christian Formation, Monica Siri for Fragility and Care, Don Angelo Magnano for Culture and Beauty, Don Camillo Podda for Diocesan Works and Economic Goods), to the vicars foranei (in the East Don Silvester Soosai, in the West Don Giuseppe Militello, for Savona Don Magnano, for the Vicarage of Vado Ligure Don Adolfo Macchioli) and to the coordinators of the pastoral areas (Don Giuseppe Marino for Cogoleto, Don Claudio Doglio for Varazze, Don Germano Grazzini for Albisole and Stelle, Don Mario Moretti for Savona center and Villetta-Valloria, Don Giovanni Margara for Savona Villapiana-Lavagnola-Santuario, Don Giuseppe Noberasco for Savona Oltreletimbro, Don Allori for Valleggia-Quiliano-Zinola, Don Macchioli for Vado-Bergeggi , Don Danilo Grillo for Spotorno-Noli, Don Selvaraj Devasahayam for the Finalese area).
Precisely with Pentecost, Sunday 19 May, the bishop’s decrees will come into force for the new heads of the Curia and Pastoral Services of the Diocese, starting with the vicar general Don Camillo Podda.
