The first edition of will start from 7 to 9 June in Florence at the Teatro della Pergola Planetary – Talks with the Earth. An experience born from the collaboration between the world of entertainment and scientists of international level.

Designed by Stefano Accorsi and Filippo Gentili, Planetarium aims to be an immersive experience in which to rethink the relationship with our planet to learn to live on it in a constructive and sustainable way, with the aim of using art to reactivate the senses, create emotions, rethink our way of being in the world .

Accorsi has the role of artistic director of this “jam session”. He will be joined by one of the most authoritative voices on the international scientific and cultural scene, Claudia Pasquero, professor of oceanography and atmospheric physics at the University of Milan Bicocca and scientific director. Alongside them, among the many guests, Stefano Mancuso, scientific communicator, botanist, director of the international laboratory of plant neurobiology and Giulio Boccaletti, oceanographer and director of the Euro-Mediterranean center on climate change in the role of scientific consultants of the project.

Accompanying them on this adventure we find Sibilla, the Artificial Intelligence created specifically for Planetaria by innovation partner Engineering to offer viewers a unique experience, never experienced before. Sibilla will dialogue in real time with artists, scientists and the public in the room during the three evening shows, the so-called “imaginary conferences”, in which the story of how we arrived at solving the environmental problem in an imaginary future will be told. An unprecedented theatrical format, conceived by Filippo Gentili, in which AI will respond to the big questions that the current climate crisis poses to today’s science: “Are men’s environmental failures approaching a breaking point?”, “The will the rise in temperatures and oceans no longer be reversible?” and many others.

“The idea of Planetaria was born from the belief that theatre, as a place of empathy and imagination, is a perfect tool to raise people’s awareness of the climate crisis of today. Moving away from a certain cold and apocalyptic popularisation, theater hears the alarm of the best science, pushes us to imagine a sustainable future and invites us to build it together”. So declares the artistic director Stefano Accorsi.
