Almost a thousand visitors to the city’s museums

The “Open Museums” initiative was appreciated

Legnano – Almost a thousand people were registered at the end of the day, in the six points of artistic and architectural interest open to free entry on Sunday 12 May, for the “Open Museums” initiative.

The culture, the rediscovery of one’s origins, and of those places in the city that are often closed or open only occasionally has given a momentum towards the Centenary of the City of Legnano. Sunday 12 May Legnano is lively and attractive rediscovery.

Since the morning they “opened the doors” to the Museum Archaeological “Guido Sutermeister”, where, thanks to guided tours, a hundred visitors were able to visit the exhibition “From the prehistoric era to the medieval age”, still in the Corso Garibaldi area, then visit the “Torre Colombera”.

Doors also open at the Associarma, visited by around 50 people and at Palazzo Malinverni, where the Legnano Volunteer Ciceroni Group was present, with a double event, in the morning and in the afternoon. Giulia, Eligio and Valentino accompanied over one hundred visitors on a descriptive tour of the Legnano Town Hall, embellished with the canvas of Francesco Hayez – “The consuls of Milan tear and trample the decree of Emperor Barbarossa”, while the exhibition is in the courtyard “Women and motors… joys and that’s it“, exhibition within the Civil Week.

Interest also registered by Fratelli Cozzi Museum in viale Toselliwhere three hundred onlookers stopped to observe the models that marked the era of the economic boom.

But not only in the centre, the whole city was involved. In the Beyond to take a dive into the past, back to the 1920s, the little ones thought Carducci schools in via XX Settembre, bringing to the almost 120 users historical testimonies and relics of school life and the city history of the past
