Bondeno. Two stages with thirteen shows, almost seventy meters of exhibition area for local associations, five appointments with art, the large amusement park, gastronomy and celebrations with dedicated events for the twentieth anniversary of the twinning with the Bavarian city of Dillingen. This, in short, is the 2024 edition of the June Fair, the patronal festival of Bondeno organized by the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Bondeno, which returns from 20 to 25 June for a new edition made up of important confirmations and welcome news.
The mayor, Simone Saletti, is satisfied: “We chose to invite all the associations because the Fair is truly a choral moment. The programmatic effort is great: it will be the celebration of the whole country, for every taste and age”. Repeating the formula already tested in the previous two years, also on this occasion the stage in Piazza Costa known as “dei chickens” and the one on Viale della Repubblica will be active at the same time with the Tropicana – Fiesta Latina and more. On the first stage, the opening evening on Thursday will be embellished by the elegance parade “Miss Bondeno and Lady Più – Evening of Honour”. In the following days, Piazza Costa will host musical evenings: from the swing of Jelly and Jam, to the tribute to Elton John performed by Luca Guaraldi, to the multi-tribute band New Euforika, to the performance of the Auxing music school and finally to the sparkling rhythm of Havana Sambuca Lambrusco coffee. The musical offer doubles with the Viale della Repubblica stage, starting from the Tropicana – Fiesta Latina of the weekend: on Friday Sangre Latino and SirK will perform, on Saturday Roberto Matos y el Son de Amigos and Dj Smoka, and on Sunday Mariachi la Plaza.
Viale della Repubblica will also continue to be animated on Mondays and Tuesdays, respectively with Antonello Cuomo who plays Venditti and with Joe Dibrutto. Furthermore, on Friday evening the Fair will also extend to via Bonati with the Local Police Open Day organized in collaboration with nine other local associations, as described in the conference by councilor Ornella Bonati. “Culture will be the protagonist – comments the competent councilor, Francesca Aria Poltronieri –: four artistic exhibitions between the Casa Operaia, the “Ferraresi” Museum of Stellata and for the first time since the earthquake today inside the sacristy of the Church of Sorrowful. Furthermore, a literary aperitif will be held at the Casa Operaia to chat about books. As always, the Fair is for children, with the extraordinary free opening on Friday morning for nursery school children”.
The dismantling of commercial activities is also back, “scheduled from Friday to Sunday – explains the councilor for Territorial Promotion, Michele Sartini –. The exhibition area will also be very rich, set up along Viale della Repubblica with street vendors and as many as ten local associations and organisations. On the gastronomic side, however, the offer will range from South American cuisine to traditional pincini with cured meats and apple fritters, as well as naturally the large “beverage” part”. Finally, the protagonist of the 2024 edition of the Fair will be Dillingen, not only with the usual stand of typical Bavarian products active from Friday to Sunday, but also with events dedicated to the twenty years of twinning with Bondeno. In particular, on Saturday evening the band from the Bavarian city will perform in front of the stand, and on Sunday morning the Multifunctional Center will be formally named after the city of Dillingen. The June Fair is the city’s patronal celebration: on Monday 24th the Holy Mass will be held in honor of the patron saint San Giovanni Battista, followed by the procession through the streets of the centre.
