The Carabinieri of Voghera arrested this morning six men held responsible for a criminal conspiracy aimed at committing robberies, home burglaries and scams committed in recent months, in particular against the elderly, in the provinces of Pavia, Alessandria and Vercelli.
The military raid began this morning in the nomad camps of Verolengo (Turin), Vercelli, Mantua and Castelnuovo Magra (La Spezia).
The investigations began in April 2023, when the police discovered that thieves and robbers were operating aboard a black Volkswagen Golf Gti with fictitious license plates, cloned from other vehicles of the same make and model. With stalking and other investigations they identified the members of the gang. To date, 10 thefts, 2 robberies and 2 scams have been attributed to them, the latter committed using the technique of false employees of gas supply companies.
The investigation was coordinated by the Pavia prosecutor, Fabio Napoleone, and directed by the deputy Andrea Zanoncelli.
The military from Pavia, Turin and Vercelli also intervened with the Carabinieri of Voghera in this morning’s blitz, as well as the canine units of Volpiano
