The awaited event of the International Gathering of Anthropological Masks and Carnivals returns to Tricarico next Friday 31 May 2024 and until Saturday 1 June 2024. In this edition, in addition to the network of Lucanian carnivals, there will be masks from Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and from countless regions of Italy, from Sicily to Lombardy.
The Gathering, we remember, is an event that combines spectacularity, knowledge and study of the masks from Italy and abroad who take part in it every year. This event has become an international point of reference that gives prestige to the Basilicata Region.
This year’s edition is enriched by the presence of the traditional costumes of the 131 Lucanian municipalities which will be worn by girls from the respective municipalities and will open the procession. In fact, the entire Region will be present.
The parade is set for Saturday 1 June.
