Multitracce: “Commitment and solidarity in the valorization of Crotone’s cultural heritage by volunteers”

The volunteers of the Castle of Charles V are demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to enhancing the cultural heritage of Crotone. In particular, in recent days, an important chromatic restoration action on the internal wall surfaces of the battlements of the Helping Tower of the fortress, which had been defaced and vandalized, was successfully completed.

This significant intervention, agreed with the competent municipal offices and authorized by the Superintendence, was possible thanks to the free and generous work of the volunteers themselves, including Dr. Alessandro Sinopoli, already actively involved in the restoration work of the castle and other important places historians of the city.

Furthermore, we want to underline the important social contribution within the activities of the Castle of Charles V. In fact, we had the privilege of collaborating with a beneficiary of the Reception and Integration System (SAI) of the Agorà kroton cooperative. This partnership allowed a person from vulnerable backgrounds to make an active contribution, demonstrating the potential for inclusion and solidarity that cultural heritage can offer the community.

The Multirace Association invites all citizens of Crotone to join us. Together we can make a difference and ensure that future generations can enjoy the wonders of our city.
