An innovative event designed for university students in the province of Varese: the appointment is for Sunday 19 May, when the first edition of “Varese Gen Z Garden Forum” will be held in the spaces of the Ville Ponti Congress Center. This is an initiative, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce together with the young startup StudentLINK, aimed precisely at students from universities in our area but also open to all other university students residing in the province of Varese.
The aim is to allow them to network and, above all, get in touch – through workshops, desks, speeches and other activities – with the professional opportunities and opportunities that our territory and its businesses can offer.
«An initiative that is in line with at least two of the objectives that we have set ourselves as part of our multiannual program 2023-2028 – explains the president of the Varese Chamber of Commerce, Mauro Vitiello –. The first reference is, undoubtedly, to the attention towards the new generations with the emblematic “Varese Gen Z Garden” project which aims to cultivate the talents of girls and boys entering the world of work. An innovative project, on which Sunday 19 May is based, which has the ambitious objective of developing in the field the characteristics that favor the employability of young people and respond to the needs of the provincial economic system in terms of finding skills and professionalism. And then there is the issue of attractiveness: we want, in fact, to create the conditions to retain the young people who train in our institutes and universities here so that they can make the skills acquired and their enthusiasm available for further development of the Varese socioeconomic system”.
Going into the details of a day that aims to help young students discover new interesting paths for their future, during “Varese Gen Z Garden Forum” includes meetings with key speakers in the fields of artificial intelligence, marketing and environmental sustainabilitybut also sport, entrepreneurship and the evolution of the job market.
There will also be interactive workshop sessions with leading companies, managers and entrepreneurs in our area, who will bring their experience to offer students the opportunity to acquire practical skills and strengthen their soft skills. During the event, there will also be free and informal discussion sessions through desk information provided by businesses, professionals and employment centers and round tables between the same subjects and student associations so as to be able to discuss and express views and opinions on current issues. Of no less importance is the opportunity to have free one-to-one meetings with psychologists, human resources consultants and innovation technology scholars.
The initiative will start at 10am with introductory greetings by the Chamber of Commerce and the rectors of the universities of Insubria and Carlo Cattaneo LIUC, respectively Angelo Tagliabue and Federico Visconti. This will be followed by various networking and training moments.
