The councilor of the Democratic Party, Daniela Fiore, questions the councilor of the branch: “Nursery plan, 27 thousand places announced. Is the Celentano administration ready?”
“The municipality of Latina has the opportunity to join the new 735 million euro nursery school plan, launched by the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara. In a city like ours, where the availability of places is significantly lower than the demand, it is an opportunity not to be missed. Has the Celentano administration planned to participate in the relevant tender? And if so, as we hope, are you preparing the necessary documents?”.
Democratic Party councilor Daniela Fiore asks this in a question addressed to Education Councilor Francesca Tesone.
The tender, which allows the creation of 27 thousand new places for children from zero to two years old throughout Italy, aims to strengthen the offer in those 1868 Italian municipalities which are currently far from reaching the minimum target of one place for every 3 children, equivalent to 34%. «Among these municipalities – explains Fiore – is also Latina. There is no time to waste: the deadline for membership is set for May 31st, it is necessary to act as promptly as possible.”
“In a context in which female employment, family construction models and birth rates are being discussed, it is essential to place the quality of the services provided at the center of the discussion, especially those intended for early childhood” states the PD councilor. «Participation in this Plan not only responds to an immediate need, but invests in the future of our community and the families that make it up».
“We need to closely monitor the development of the situation – concludes Fiore – and work actively so that Latina can fully seize this precious opportunity to improve the quality of life of its citizens, in particular families with pre-school children”.
