The orchestra of the “Carducci-Paolillo” Institute of Cerignola wins a national competition for young musicians

The awards concert he saw was held on Sunday 28 April the orchestra of the “Carducci-Paolillo” institute won first place in the rankings in the first National Competition for young musicians “Young Competition”. The musical competition took place in the cloister of Civic Museum of San Paolo in Civitatein the province of Foggia, thanks to the organization of the Crescendo APS and Musin…canto APS Associations, and with the patronage of the Municipalities of San Paolo di Civitate and Torremaggiore, as well as the Province of Foggia and the Puglia Region.

Filled with pride and satisfaction, i master organizers Antonio Carretta and Nazario La Piscopia saw their boys triumph with an excellent score, 98/100, and perform in a disciplined and composed show, typical of an orchestra of young professionals. The results achieved by the soloists are equally excellent: Nicolò Ferrareis he obtained first place with his marimba, played to the notes of the famous Bach; for the battery category, in first place Domenico Bassosecond Emanuele Chieti and third parties Antonio Basiliano and Marta Grisorio. These results were achieved thanks to the passion and hard commitment of the boys, accompanied on this journey by the precious help of the conductor Michele Notarangelomusical excellence, and from the entire teaching body, musicians of clear renown: Vincenzo Raddato (coordinator of the musical curriculum, as well as percussion teacher), Simona Beneventi (cello teacher), Anna Colucci (oboe teacher), Giuseppe Cioffi (percussion teacher), Giuseppe Di Cosmo (clarinet teacher), Alfonso Lombardo (piano teacher), Gennaro Palmiotto (violin teacher) e Salvatore Ricciardi (guitar teacher).

Maestro Walter Farina and Professor Rosanna Pasqua, from the Foggia conservatory, showed all their appreciation for the emerging young people; they were accompanied by the judgment of Maestro Francesco Tizianel, guest of the evening, who honored those present with a performance to the sound of the guitar. After the orchestra’s concert, the jury expressed itself as follows: «Assist The performance of these 64 young people from Cerignola was, for us, an unforgettable experiencebecause we had the chance to see so many talents together». There manager, Franca Pia Tarantinowas pleased to achieve this national recognition with her children, confirming the high level of education that her Institute constantly aims to pursue.
