Air of confirmations and farewells in the home of Futsal Cesena just over two weeks after the end of the first season in the A2 Elite series. Among the good news, Mr. Osimani’s stay at the helm of the Bianconeri has been made official for the fourth consecutive year. After the promotion from Serie B to Serie A2 and the subsequent climb towards A2 Elite achieved in the last two years, for the 2023/24 season the objective set by the club was salvation and the result was largely achieved: despite a poor start complicated, Futsal Cesena in fact managed to conquer the final seventh place, just one point from the playoff zone. To those who ask him if he considers salvation another Osimani miracle, the coach replies: “I don’t consider the two past promotions as miracles, so consequently I don’t even consider the salvation achieved this year a miracle simply because we managed to reach the objective , aware that it was difficult but not impossible. We continued the path we had set up also thanks to the sharing of operations between the club, staff and players.” Instead, the paths of Futsal Cesena and one of the key men of the last triumphal years, Antonio Jamicic, will be divided. The Croatian winger born in 1996 will return to his homeland after returning to the Cavalluccio ranks in January, driven by the strong bond established with the city, the fans and the club. Nicknamed “the Hurricane”, in this last Cesena parenthesis he scored 13 goals and 6 assists in 13 games, proving himself to be one of the absolute protagonists of the championship. “When I returned to Cesena I set myself some goals which I managed to achieve but the best thing is having found old and new friends who are waiting for me in Cesena with open arms – declared number 80. – For me they are special and even if our paths diverge I will always remain one of them.”
